Event Information

Event Info:
Founded in 2000, the annual Walk of Ages is a family-oriented event that raises much-needed funds for the Jewish Home. Walkers and runners of all ages collect donations from sponsors for this fun event. The throngs of participants include infants and toddlers in strollers, elderly Jewish Home senior residents and everything in between. In some cases, entire families run or walk together and many of the event sponsors also send teams. All participants are urged to obtain donations, form teams and check with their employers to see if a Matching Gifts Program is in place to maximize the dollars raised in support of the hundreds of seniors in need who are cared for by the Jewish Home.

All participants receive top quality t-shirts and medals are awarded to all children and seniors who finish the course, as well as to the top competitive finishers in all age divisions. Opportunities to become involved with the Walk of Ages X include joining the planning committee, creating a team or just coming out to walk, run or cheer on the participants at one of the largest 5k walk/runs in our city.
